Founded in 2003, The Cathedral Scholars is a male-voice close-harmony group offering light-hearted choral entertainment both in Durham City and further afield. Coming together eight times a week to continue the traditional sung services in Durham Cathedral, the seven choral scholars wanted to take their close-knit musical body, love of performance, and camaraderie beyond the cathedral walls. To this end they formed The Cathedral Scholars, a group in which they could extend their musical horizons.

With a diverse repertoire including our own up-beat arrangements, popular ballads, traditional choral motets and well-loved favourites The Cathedral Scholars have performed extensively in a variety of settings, and could well be that unique sparkle to add to your evening's entertainment.
